“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”

-Roy T. Bennett

I have been writing books. The passion of professional writing has become great life long love and fascination. I do not think it is going to change. Every one of my titles has caused me to have recalibrated my attitude towards the work. My previous title went out in the world out and became mega sensation and best seller. The result of which is that every where I connect to people on social media, they treated me like I am doomed. One of my friend said, “Aren’t you worried about your next work to be liked by people?” I said, “I do not really worry about creating best seller. If the book is able enough to give solution to their pain points, it will definitely have massive response. I am going to keep on writing for rest of my life.

I had fear-based reaction when I had started writing but after few successful titles, I have stopped worrying about humiliation or rejection. As long as I observe people with some problems, I will try to give solution in the form of writing or podcast. Many creative minds died in front of me without considerable contribution to society. I have started believing that creativity and suffering are somehow made for each other.

Recently I wrote book on brain and realised and encouraged my mind to be more active and alive. My greatest success is behind me. I have decided to write as many as possible books before I leave this planet. I would prefer to keep doing this work that I love. Sometimes there is emotional risk of creativity, however, one has to adjust with self and environment. Creativity as a matter of fact came from human beings. People believed that creativity was this divine attendant spirit that came to human beings from some distant and unknowable source, for distant and unknowable reasons. Socrates believed that he had a daemon who was always helping him with wisdom from unknown source from afar. Any way, I believe that there is some supernatural that is always working for your creativity and genius work.

Unlock Your Creative Genius

You can create your work through following few steps,

1. Create Version One

Sometimes it may happen that you have written a long junk paragraph and received one good sentence. Most of the time you may work like gold miner. They turn tones of soil and may get grams of gold. Do not be shy to create junk. Give yourself the permission to be shabby, after all it is going to be improved later.

2. Consistency And Persistency

You do not have to be choosy about your writing schedule. Whether you feel like to write or not, you have to write. Continuous dripping of water drills the hole in rock. You become genius when you show up for enough time to your writing desk in spite of your unwillingness. Practice your craft over and over again. It is your daily regular wisdom that works.

3. Finish The Battle

Once you have started something, you got to finish the specific task. No athlete has conquered unless he has finished each of his workout. Just make something out of raw but you should always give the final touch of your piece. You don’t need to set the world on fire with your first try but you have to prove yourself that you are going to produce something and finish before you get up.

4. Do Not Be Your Own Judge

Sometimes you are disappointed with your work and you decide that this is not decent idea. Your creation may not look wonderful and you may delete whole idea but do not judge instantly. Let not your idea demoralise your next piece of work. Do not laugh at your stupid instant craft, give some time and you will be amazed to read later on as third party.

5. Be Accountable

It is always better to expose your work to people. Thomas Alva Edison used to declare his work to media. The work will always inspire you and provide feedback for doing better.

Your work has to be share because you are also dealing with haters and critics. If you do not share your work, you may not be able to amend your brilliant performance.

6. Repetition

Repetition is called the mother of learning. The brain always reinforces particular skills. They are necessary to stay balanced, tuned and in motion.

According to the author Josh Kaufman wide his title ‘The First 20 Hours’, the research suggests that it takes 10,000 hours to develop a new skill.

In the book, Josh Kaufman offers a systematic approach to rapid skill acquisition: how to learn any new skill as quickly as possible. His method shows you how to deconstruct complex skills, maximize productive practice, and remove common learning barriers. By completing just 20 hours of focused, deliberate practice you’ll go from knowing absolutely nothing to performing noticeably well.

Take Away

1. If you have a strong sense of self-awareness, you have potential as a creative genius.

2. Be introspective. In your alone time you have liberty to meditate, read, write, paint, play musical instrument. Spend plenty of time with yourself. You can change the world.
