When Thomas Alva Edison was in final stage of his invention of electrical bulb, he prepared a tray and wanted to carry to stage for demonstration in front of larger gathering and media.
The assistant who was lifting the tray missed the step and whole tray was broken in pieces. Everybody shouted and told Edition to punish him. Some of them suggested to hand him over to Police and hang him till death. But he did none of these and unconditionally forgave him.
After 15 months of rework he again prepared tray. People suggested, “Now select some proper fellow to lift the tray and do not give the tray to same fellow for lifting.
Edison told, “The tray will be lifted by him only and nobody else!” He does not only forgive him but again involved him in the experiment and explained the reason to do so, “
If the tray is broken, we can generate another tray but if man is broken we cannot produce the same man again.”
What a broad thinking and forgiveness! The scientist is not only known by the incredible 1093 incredible patents but his humble and humanly approach and dealing with people.
