Death is one of life’s greatest certainties, yet it remains one of the most profound fears for many. The thought of our mortality can be unsettling, often leading to anxiety and avoidance. However, what if, instead of fearing death, we embraced its inevitability as a guiding force for a more meaningful and fulfilling life?

A Dream That Changed My Perspective on Life and Death

I had a dream five decades ago that left an indelible mark on my mind. In my village, there was a large well filled with water. I found myself standing at the top, and without hesitation, I jumped in. As I descended, fear gripped me, and I cried out, “Help me! Save me!” But no one came to my rescue. Moments later, my lifeless body floated on the surface of the water. A crowd gathered around the well, discussing my death.

Upon awakening from the dream, I was overwhelmed with relief — I was alive. Yet, the vividness of the experience never faded from my memory. This dream, once a source of fear, ultimately became a guiding light-teaching me to embrace life fully while accepting its inevitable conclusion with peace.
