Since I worked on aero engines for 15 years in the Armed Forces, I am always fascinated by the advancements in airspace.

I was surprised when, a few years back, the first supersonic transport aircraft was launched.

The Concorde Legacy: The First Supersonic Transport

I want to share one of the most iconic milestones in aviation history: the Launch of Concorde. It was a joint venture of France’s Aérospatiale and the United Kingdom’s British Aircraft Corporation. Let us see some details.

Speed and Efficiency

It has a massive cruising capability of Mach 20.4, or 2180 km/hour. Concorde cut transatlantic flight times in half, thereby transforming tour perceptions.

Design and Performance

With its delta-wing design and 4 Royce/Snecma Olympus 593 turbojet engines, the transporter not only looks like a futuristic miracle but also delivers unmatched advanced features.
