The eagle has long symbolized strength, power, and spiritual wisdom. In Hindu mythology, the eagle is often associated with Garuda, the mighty bird who serves as Lord Vishnu’s celestial vehicle. Garuda’s tales are legendary, offering profound lessons on devotion, humility, and purpose. His association with Lord Vishnu, the preserver and protector in Hindu trinity, underscores the eagle’s role as a symbol of protection and guidance.

One story about Garuda left a lasting impression on me and deepened my admiration for this magnificent creature. The story’s message of humility and reverence, even in the face of great power, resonated deeply with me and sparked a new perspective on life.

One day, Garuda sought permission from Lord Vishnu to take a short leave. Upon receiving the Lord’s blessing, he flew tirelessly across vast skies for hours, settling on a dry, withered tree. He built a temporary nest there and stayed for two days. The tree stood alone, barren and lifeless, with no other birds in sight — far removed from the grandeur of Vishnu’s heavenly kingdom.

Unbeknownst to Garuda, Lord Vishnu followed him invisibly, observing his actions curiously. When Garuda returned to the celestial kingdom…
