Phobias, despite their intense and irrational nature, are more common than one might think. They are an intense, irrational fear or aversion to a specific object, situation, or activity disproportionate to the actual danger posed. While fear is a natural and adaptive response to danger, phobias are characterized by excessive and persistent fear that interferes with daily life.

2. Avoidance Behavior: Individuals actively avoid the object or situation that triggers the fear or endure it with extreme distress.

3. Physical Symptoms: Exposure to the feared object or situation may cause symptoms like sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, or shortness of breath.
